The Community Arts Network includes information about community arts projects related to voting and civic participation.

DESCRIPTION

The Community Arts Network (CAN) promotes information exchange, research and critical dialogue within the field of community-based arts, that is, art made as a voice and a force within a specific community of place, spirit or tradition. CAN was initiated in 1999 through a partnership between Art in the Public Interest, a national nonproft organization and The Virginia Tech Department of Theatre Arts' Consortium for the Study of Theatre and Community.

Community Arts Network is the primary activity of Art in the Public Interest (API), a 501(c)3 orgnization.
