National Council of Churches

VOTER WORK

Along with a number of other faith based bodies, the National Council of Churches hopes to encourage participation of faith based people and institutions through a number of voter education and registration efforts, while eschewing any partisan role. In doing so, the NCC will to build upon a long and proud history of the Council in such efforts.

DESCRIPTION

The National Council of Churches, founded in 1950, is the leading force for ecumenical cooperation among Christians in the United States.

The NCC's 36 Protestant, Anglican and Orthodox member denominations include more than 50 million persons in 140,000 local congregations in communities across the nation.
