Campaign for Communities / Earth Day Network (EDN)

VOTER WORK

Earth Day Network and our Campaign for Communities partners registered and turned out one million new and infrequent voters in the 2004 presidential election, focusing on young people, and African-American, Latino and low-income communities, where voter turnout is generally low.

DESCRIPTION

Earth Day Network (EDN) promotes a peaceful, just, sustainable world through education, community empowerment, capacity-building, campaigns, events, and publications. Earth Day is the one event celebrated simultaneously around the world by people of all backgrounds, faiths and nationalities. In 184 countries spanning every continent, millions gather to learn about the environment and take action to protect it. Our network connects thousands of like efforts into one worldwide voice for change.
