One Million More in 2004 campaign aims to get 1,000,000 more 18-to-30-year-olds to vote in 2004 than did in 2000. In addition, the campaign will encourage young people to enlist as poll workers, ask candidates to speak forthrightly about issues important to youth and call for a Presidential debate focused on youth issues. ||WASHINGTON, D.C., Sept. 22, 2003 - Russell Simmonís Hip-Hop Summit Action Network (HSAN) today announced that its Hip-Hop Team Vote is joining with World Wrestling Entertainmentís Smackdown Your Vote! effort to undertake a non-partisan ìTwo Million More in 2004î campaign. The objective is to get two million more 18-to-30-year-olds to register and cast their votes in the 2004 Presidential election than did in the Presidential election of 2000. The effort includes the stretch objective to register 4 million new ìGeneration Eî voters by November 2004.|
